Firstly we'd like to thank you for your patience and forbearance what with the site and the date having been moved from November to March. As i'm sure you're aware, this was because the Wilderness Centre closed, forcing us to seek another venue.
We chose Holmbury St Mary YHA near Dorking, believing this to be a suitable site. Unfortunately, having just crewed the rather excellent DV game there, we have discovered that the site is not suitable for Sintax. There is not enough room, with only one communal area and that not big enough to fit all the crew and players in. The kitchen facilities are also not suitable for that many people to be catered for.
Added to that, we would be unable to use the outside area owing to a public right of way and the wardens don't want any noise made after midnight...
This is coupled with the fact that in order to use Holmbury, we would have to compromise quite a bit on the plot we have for this event. As this event is part of a campaign, we need certain things to happen on this event in order to continue the overall plot and this site would not afford us the room to do what we need to do.
Furthermore, the kitchen is tiny and Hugh would have a massive problem catering for 50 people using the spartan facilities available.
So as you can see, that's a fairly lengthy list of reasons why it's not suitable.
As the refs, we're committed to giving both the players and the crew an event to remember, and as such we've had no choice but to move the site and the date (because of the site, we tried to get the same weekend), once again.
We're now going to be running the game at Oxenwood in Wiltshire, the site where Cold Horizon is run and also the venue of choice for the New Year bash. The event will now be running on the weekend of the 30th/31st March 2012, as there were no other suitable weekends.
We'll understand if you now can't make it, although we'll be disappointed. We'd very much like to see you all there, and we can promise you that with this site we can run the game properly without you all tripping over each other in a tiny space, and you can shout "Selwyn triple head!" after midnight.
We can promise you that the venue and date will not change from this point. The site is booked and short of global thermo-nuclear war, nothing will stop us from running at the site on that weekend. The game will be exquisitely catered and you will be treated like royalty for at least the first 15 seconds of the event.
Thanks again for bearing with us, and believe us when we say that it's as much of a pain for us as it is for all of you. We apologise profusely to those people who have voiced their unhappiness over the dates changing; it is not something we did lightly and we can appreciate that everyone has a life to lead in the real world and that things like this are annoying.

Location - Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre in Wiltshire
Cost - £70 waged - £50 unwaged (sorry about this but the site is considerably more expensive than the Wilderness Centre)
Dates - Friday 30 March 2012 to Sunday 1 April 2012 - please don't be on site before 18:00 on Friday (Unless crew have cleared it with us as we will need help set dressing)
The game is catered.
